Welcome to the department of Paramedical Sciences (MLT) at Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University, Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh. I extended a very warm welcome to you for visiting the department’s website.

It gives me immense pleasure to lead the Department of Paramedical Sciences (MLT). I would like to highlights about the department. Medical laboratory professionals collaborate very closely with physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease processes, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of therapy. Areas of medical laboratory training include microbiology, biochemistry, hematology, immunology, transfusion medicine, toxicology, and molecular diagnostics and plays a very critical role in the functioning of any healthcare facility.

Our university have a unique like a prism reflecting the manifold shades of learning and co-curricular activities. Our department is working very hard towards the goal of providing innovative and quality education with high standard to achieve academic excellence in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology and to provide the highly skilled profession in the service of Nation.

The process of learning is extremely important in life. What you learn, how you learn and where you learn play a crucial role in developing ones intellectual capability, besides career. The excellent infrastructure, teaching faculty of the best kind ensuring quality education such as interaction among students, parents and staff. A large number of our brilliant students have been recruited in various government, private hospitals, laboratories, clinics, NGOs and many more. Thus we are confident that our students will emerge as assets not only to this university and to the organization they belong, but also to the country at large.

The periodically updated curriculum imparts technical knowledge to the students and the application based environment in the state of the art laboratories complements the same. The students are motivated to participate in paper presentation, workshops and seminars that are essential to maintaining proficiency. Cultural activities are also promoted through various departmental, university level and community level too.
