The department is committed to supporting the mission of Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University to develop leaders of distinction Commerce, Business Administration and Public affairs. It does this through excellence in class room instructions, by motivating student to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies sought by the employers, and by creating knowledge that informs and advances the art and science of management.

The department emphasizes on experiential and extracurricular learning to cultivate the skills and competencies that can position students for professional success. Through hands-on learning in class and through internships, leadership in students clubs and participation in Global Learning Experiences, students can gain the practical experiences that complement their class room learning. The goal of the department is to prepare its graduates so that they have the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed from day one.

Management faculties are leader as teachers, mentors, and scholars. They are committed to students’ success and to be a positive role model. They are advancing their field of expertise, regularly publishing their research papers in leading and reputed academic journals. Bringing leading edge research to the class room means that student benefit from recent advances in knowledge and the wisdom and insights of faculty at the fore front of their profession.
